Revit Draughtsman Piping
Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Pretoria East FULL TIME Job Summary Are you an experienced Revit Piping Draughtsman with a passion for delivering high-quality 3D piping models and detailed engineering drawings? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering company specialising in water infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams on technically challenging projects from concept through to construction. Key Responsibilities * Develop accurate 3D piping models using Autodesk Revit. * Produce detailed piping layouts, isometrics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication drawings. * Interpret and model information from P&IDs, engineering specifications, and process flow diagrams. * Coordinate piping models with mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. * Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve model clashes. * Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable industry codes. * Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawing schedules. * Revise and update drawings throughout project lifecycles while maintaining document control. * Provide technical drafting support during fabrication, construction, and commissioning phases. Minimum Requirements * National Diploma or Draughting Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. * 3–5+ years' experience as a piping draughtsman in industrial or process engineering environments. * Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP. * Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD will be advantageous. * Strong understanding of: + Industrial piping systems + P&IDs + Pipe supports + Equipment layouts + Fabrication drawings + Industry standards and specifications * Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations and technical documentation. * Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
