Finance/Accounting - Finance/Accounting Management Johannesburg North CONTRACT Job Summary A well-established organisation based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Finance and Compliance Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and experience across core finance functions, including VAT, tax, reconciliations, audit support, and financial reporting. Exposure to the hospitality industry would be advantageous. Education and Qualifications * National Diploma or B.Com Degree in Accounting * Minimum 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience * Experience within the hospitality industry preferred. * Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems Key Responsibilities * Manage VAT, tax, and statutory compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timeous submissions. * Prepare and process journals, account reconciliations, and month-end reporting activities. * Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records. * Support internal and external audit processes, providing required schedules and documentation. * Assist with financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control procedures. Skills & Competencies * Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organisational and time-management skills. * Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. * Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
