Finance/Accounting - Finance/Accounting Management Durban FULL TIME Job Summary Technical Competencies & Experience: 1. Manage, train, develop and discipline staff 2. Be the first point of call for staff 3. Experience working with import Bill of Entry tariffing and import and export procedures (sea and air, groupage and FCLs) as a Client Controller 4. Working Knowledge of SARS Tariffing and rules and regulations for bill of entry processing, for imports where duty is applicable 5. Drive branch profitability and financial compliance. 6. Oversee financial reporting and documentation for accounts. 7. Manage end-to-end shipments for air, sea, and road freight. 8. Coordinate freight operations from quoting through final invoicing. 9. Track shipment metrics including stack dates, ATA, and container monitoring. 10. Liaise with shipping lines, vendors, and external service providers. 11. Process customs documentation including SAD500, EUR1, and RIT clearances. 12. Manage specialized permits including hazardous cargo and certificates. 13. Arrange mandatory inspections and freight fumigation protocols. 14. Lead branch personnel through recruitment, training, and performance reviews. 15. Nurture client relationships to stimulate portfolio growth. 16. Provide operational backup to maintain team workflow continuity. Behavioural Competencies: 1.
