Automotive - Automotive Technician Gauteng CONTRACT Job Summary ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Development & Engineering: Develop ABAP programs, function modules, reports, enhancements, and interfaces based on business and functional requirements Debug and troubleshoot ABAP code, resolve performance issues, and optimise processes. Enhance standard SAP functionality using User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements, and ABAP OO patterns. Design and build UI elements and applications using SAP UI5 / Fiori, including backend services for UI consumption. Integration: Create and support interfaces using ODATA, APIs, ALE/iDOC, RFC, file-based integrations, and Kafka where required. Collaborate with functional and integration teams to design robust message flows and interface contracts across SAP and non-SAP systems Analysis, Testing & Delivery: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and development specifications. Prepare technical documentation, interface specifications, test cases, and support SIT/UAT/regression testing. Support go-live preparation, post go-live support, incident analysis, and production issue resolution. Operational Support: Handle tickets, tasks, and support queries within agreed SLAs. Work in a DevOps / Agile team with international business and IT stakeholders. AI-Enabled Delivery Use approved AI tools to improve development productivity, code understanding, refactoring, and test generation. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: 8+ years SAP ABAP development experience on SAP S/4HANA and/or an IT degree or SAP qualification. Strong UI5 / Fiori development capability, including ODATA service integration. Experience with Kafka, APIs, ALE/iDOC, RFC and interface design/support. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, testing, documentation, and go-live support capability. Experience in Agile / DevOps teams and exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
