Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer
Engineering - Electrical Engineering Johannesburg North FULL TIME Job Summary Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the E&I engineering team to deliver high-quality design, development, and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems. * Oversee the project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards. * Provide technical expertise in OEM equipment design, integration, and fabrication. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, process, and project engineering departments. * Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. * Implement and uphold engineering best practices, standards, and quality control measures. * Support project management activities including resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (BEng/BTech preferred). * Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within an industrial environment. * Proven leadership experience in a senior engineering role. * In-depth knowledge of OEM equipment design and fabrication. * Solid understanding of project management principles and practices. * Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Advantageous: * Project Management Certification (PMP/Prince2 or similar). * Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects. * Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
