Counter Salesperson: Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
Manufacturing - Manufacturing Production Port Elizabeth FULL TIME Job Summary Requirements: * Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics. * 1–2 years' sales or customer service experience, preferably within a retail, wholesale or trade environment. * Experience within the air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing or hardware industry will be advantageous. * Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. * Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) or ERP system will be beneficial. * Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable). * Good numerical ability, excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus. * Willingness to learn and build a career within the HVAC-R industry. Responsibilities: * Assist walk-in and inbound telephone customers with product enquiries and sales. * Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable air-conditioning and refrigeration products. * Prepare accurate quotations and process sales orders. * Process cash, card and account sales in accordance with company procedures. * Liaise with the warehouse regarding stock availability and customer collections. * Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries. * Assist with stock receiving, stock counts and inventory control. * Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, technicians and trade customers. * Keep up to date with new products, promotions and industry developments. * Maintain a clean, organised and professional sales counter and showroom.
