IT/Computer - Other IT/Computer Johannesburg North FULL TIME Job Summary Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Actuarial Manager to join their executive-aligned leadership team. This role requires a highly experienced actuarial professional who can provide strategic oversight, drive actuarial excellence, and influence key business decisions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping actuarial strategy, strengthening risk and pricing frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights that support sustainable growth and profitability. This is a senior leadership position suited to an individual with proven experience in managing actuarial teams, engaging with executive stakeholders, and delivering impactful, business-aligned solutions. Key Responsibilities * Lead and oversee actuarial analysis, modelling, and reporting functions * Provide strategic actuarial insights to support business planning and executive decision-making * Drive the development, validation, and enhancement of actuarial models and methodologies * Partner closely with stakeholders across business, finance, risk, product, and executive teams * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, governance frameworks, and actuarial standards * Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic interventions * Lead, mentor, and develop actuarial talent within the function * Drive innovation and continuous improvement within actuarial processes and capabilities * Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions that enhance profitability and performance Job Experience and Skills Required Education * Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline * Qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent international qualification preferred) Experience * Minimum 10 years’ actuarial experience within financial services or insurance * Proven experience in actuarial leadership and team management * Strong exposure to pricing, valuation, risk management, capital modelling, and regulatory frameworks * Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level decision-making * Track record of delivering business-impacting actuarial initiatives Skills…
