Engineering - Electrical Engineering Johannesburg North FULL TIME Job Summary As the Proposal Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the business development and engineering teams by preparing high-quality technical and commercial proposals for solar PV projects. You will play a vital role in shaping sustainable energy solutions by transforming client requirements into well-structured, technically sound, and cost-effective proposals. Key Responsibilities: * Develop detailed solar PV system designs and layouts using relevant design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD). * Prepare and compile comprehensive technical proposal documents and costing. * Analyse site data (irradiation, shading, and energy yield) and conduct feasibility studies. * Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and proposed solutions. * Assist with responding to RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions. Minimum Requirements: * BEng Degree in Electrical or a related Engineering discipline. * 1–3 years of experience in a proposal, design or applications engineering role in the solar PV sector. * Familiarity with solar design software and relevant standards. * Strong technical writing and presentation skills. * Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
