Internship Details * Directorate: Office of the Municipal Manager * Unit: Internal Audit Unit * Position: Financial Management / Internal Audit Intern * Salary: R120 000.00 annually fixed * Closing Date: 10 July 2026 at 12:00 Minimum Requirements Applicants must have: * Grade 12 * Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with at least one of the following major subjects: + Internal Auditing + Auditing + Financial Accounting + Risk Management * Good interpersonal relations and high degree of ethics * Communication skills * Report writing skills * Knowledge of local government legislation and the Constitution of the Republic * Understanding of local government oversight processes and responsibilities Key Performance Areas The successful intern will assist with: * Conducting audit projects * Preparing and seating Disciplinary Board and Audit and Risk Committee meetings * Administrative support for both Internal Audit and Audit and Risk Committee * Delivery of the risk-based annual internal audit plan * Completion of assigned audits * Planning, fieldwork and reporting activities * Ensuring adherence to the municipal internal audit methodology Documents Required Applicants must submit: * Prescribed application form * Complete Curriculum Vitae * Certified copies of original certificates, not older than 3 months * Supporting documents required for the position The prescribed application form is available on the municipal website and at the Records Office.
