Maintenance Manager
Building/Construction/Mining - Other Building/Construction/Mining Durban North FULL TIME Job Summary Key Responsibilities: * Manage all day-to-day maintenance operations across the property. * Execute preventative and reactive maintenance within required service levels. * Supervise maintenance staff, cleaning teams, security personnel and external contractors. * Ensure buildings, student rooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standard. * Manage maintenance budgets, stock control and purchasing. * Coordinate contractors, quotations and work completion. * Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections. * Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and building standards. * Maintain maintenance records, reports and job tracking systems. * Manage maintenance stores, tools and inventory. * Support annual student vacate and intake projects. * Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. Minimum Requirements: * Grade 12 (Matric). * Recognised Trade Qualification (Artisan qualification preferred). * 5–8 years' maintenance experience within facilities, property management, hospitality, student accommodation, residential or similar environments. * Experience supervising maintenance teams and contractors. * Strong knowledge of: + General building maintenance + Plumbing + Electrical maintenance + Carpentry + Painting + Air-conditioning and refrigeration basics * Knowledge of preventative maintenance programmes. * Understanding of maintenance stock control and inventory management. * Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety legislation. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). * Experience using maintenance management systems will be advantageous.
