Tax Manager - Port Elizabeth
Finance/Accounting - Finance/Accounting Management Port Elizabeth FULL TIME Job Summary Minimum Requirements: * BCom Accounting, BCom Taxation or equivalent (Postgraduate Tax qualification advantageous). * Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT) preferred. * CA(SA) advantageous but not essential. * 5–8 years' taxation experience within an accountingor auditing practice. * Previous experience managing a tax portfolio and dealing directly with SARS. * Experience supervising or mentoring staff. * Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes. * Proficient in SARS eFiling, CaseWare, Pastel and Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel). Key Responsibilities: * Manage a portfolio of corporate, trust, individual and partnership tax clients. * Review and submit income tax, provisional tax, EMP201, EMP501,VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns. * Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services across corporate tax, CGT, VAT, dividend tax, estate planning, restructures and international tax. * Liaise directly with SARS, managing audits, verifications, objections, appeals and dispute resolution. * Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing proactive tax advice. * Mentor and manage junior tax consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance. * Keep abreast of Income Tax Act, VAT Act, Tax Administration Act, Companies Act, Trust legislation, relevant SARS practice notes and interpretation notes.
