Job Summary
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 1–3 years’ experience working as a fryer or in a similar kitchen role
* Must be based in Sandton or surrounding areas
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
* Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Strong attention to detail and consistency
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes and portion guidelines.
* Monitor oil quality and temperature to ensure consistent cooking results and food quality.
* Ensure all fried items are cooked to the correct texture, colour, and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer station at all times.
* Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
* Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning, breading, and marinating.
* Manage stock levels of fryer-related items and notify management of shortages.
* Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices to ensure product freshness and reduce waste.
* Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service during busy periods.
* Dispose of used oil safely and maintain proper waste management practices.
* Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning and closing procedures.
