Job Summary
Role: Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape
Salary: TBC
Requirements:
* Post-matric qualification (Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping)
* Working knowledge of Pastel
* Strong MS Office Suite skills
* Experience with SARS eFiling, SARS EasyFile, and uFiling
* Knowledge of Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE legislation
* Payroll experience (processing and related compliance)
* Ability to prepare financial statements up to Trial Balance
* Experience in a practice environment (essential)
* Advantage: Ability to compile financial statements in Caseware
In this role, attention to detail is key, especially when it comes to reconciliations, statutory compliance, and payroll accuracy. The ideal person is someone who is comfortable working independently but also understands the importance of accuracy, deadlines, and client service in a fast-paced practice environment.
