Logistics - Logistics Sales Durban FULL TIME R75 000,00 - R95 000,00 (PER MONTH) Job Summary Key Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Management * Develop and implement annual branch strategy aligned to budget. * Monitor and report monthly performance against targets. * Manage staff turnover in line with HR objectives. * Achieve and exceed monthly branch budgets. * Deliver detailed branch performance analysis and flash reporting. Client & Business Development * Conduct 10–20 client visits monthly. * Lead gained/lost business reviews with sales. * Ensure accurate call reporting and weekly sales meetings. Operational Excellence * Respond to escalated queries within 2 hours; resolve within 24 hours. * Hold monthly trade lane team meetings. * Enforce compliance with admin and service procedures. * Maintain IT and communication system integrity. * Oversee compliance with RCG, ISF, AMS, ICS2 and related regulations. Culture & HR Accountability * Drive quarterly performance discussions and deliverables. * Manage recruitment, selection, and staff changes per HR policy. * Ensure orientation and training of new employees. * Oversee branch training and development initiatives. * Participate in weekly conference calls with senior management. Skills & Competencies * Strong knowledge of freight management systems. * Broad understanding of Finance, HR, IT, Sales & Marketing. * In‑depth knowledge of freight transportation operations. * Familiarity with labour legislation and compliance requirements. * Commercial insurance and loss control knowledge. * Advanced managerial, problem‑solving, and presentation skills. * Ability to interpret financial information and manage people effectively. Requirements * Minimum Grade 12. * Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight, or Transportation (NQF Level 5). * At least 7 years’ experience in a freight environment. * 5–10 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
