IT SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - CAPE TOWN/STELLENBOSCHMARKET RELATED SALARY, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirements:
* Grade 12
* 5–8+ years experience in a corporate IT support environment
* Proven experience beyond basic helpdesk work
* Experience in a professional services or legal environment is advantageous
* Strong Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 support experience
* Strong Windows Server with HyperV and VMWare
* Solid understanding of AD, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SMTP
* Experience supporting Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Exchange Online and Defender
* Working knowledge of network infrastructure and connectivity technologies (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
* Working knowledge of endpoint security and patch management systems and applications
* Working knowledge of SQL
* Relevant IT certification(s) preferred (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
* Alternating office visits
* Drivers' license with reliable transport is required
* Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
* Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by assessing the impact of issues, prioritizing problems, running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions
* Full endpoint life cycle management for all user devices from onboarding to offboarding
* Resolve Helpdesk requests with minimal supervision
* Support senior stakeholders (directors, lawyers) with a high level of professionalism
* Troubleshoot complex Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and application issues
* Act as a technical escalation point for junior technicians
* Share knowledge and assist with training and standards
* Contribute to improving processes, documentation, and user experience
* Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCPFull endpoint life cycle management for all user devices from onboarding to offboarding
* Resolve Helpdesk requests with minimal supervision

* Troubleshoot complex Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and application issues

* Assist with endpoint management (Intune / device policies where applicable)
* Support VPNs, Wi-Fi, and LAN/WAN connectivity
Perform workstation builds, rebuilds, and lifecycle replacements
* Enforce security standards (endpoint protection, patching, access controls)
* Assist with user access reviews and offboarding
* Promote cybersecurity awareness and good user behaviour
* Own issues end-to-end and communicate clearly with users
* Maintain accurate ticket notes and documentation
* Assist with asset management and stock control
* Liaise with vendors for repairs, warranties, and escalations
* Participate in after-hours or weekend standby support when required
* Supporting all IT-related work in the Western Cape
* Friendly and helpful attitude
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
* Ability to utilize Microsoft applications for support, reporting and documentation
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
