SAMSA Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026 The Department of Transport South Africa in partnership with the South African Maritime Safety Authority invites suitably qualified unemployed seafarers to apply for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL): Small Vessel Regime Programme 2026. Internship Application Closing Date: 06 May 2026 Internship Location: Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Eastern Cape, South Africa (with placements across multiple coastal cities) About the SAMSA WIL Programme 2026 The Maritime Training Programme (MTP) is a 24-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme designed to provide practical training and hands-on experience in maritime safety and vessel inspection. Participants will work under experienced mentors and gain exposure to compliance monitoring, vessel surveying, and maritime safety operations.
