PURPOSE OF THE ROLETo jointly manage and oversee the full operations of a small lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient day-to-day operations, and strong team leadership. This role requires a hands-on, mature couple capable of independently managing multiple operational areas with limited on-site support.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Overall Lodge ManagementOversee all daily lodge operations including accommodation, food & beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance.Ensure high standards of guest service and satisfaction at all times.Act as hosts, engaging with guests and enhancing their experience.2. Guest Experience & HostingWelcome and interact with guests throughout their stay.Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.Ensure a personalized and memorable guest experience.3. Team Leadership & Staff ManagementManage, lead, and motivate a small team of lodge staff.Allocate duties, manage schedules, and monitor performance.Provide training, mentoring, and support to staff.Foster a positive and productive work environment.4. Administration & Financial ControlManage lodge administration including bookings, reporting, and stock control.Oversee budgets, cost control, and procurement.Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting to head office.Work closely with head office support while independently managing on-site processes.5. Operations & LogisticsEnsure smooth coordination between departments.Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.Oversee maintenance and upkeep of lodge facilities.6. Guiding (Advantageous)One partner ideally to hold a guiding qualification.Conduct or assist with guided activities where required.Enhance guest experience through knowledge of the environment.7. Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety across the lodge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Proven experience managing a small lodge, guesthouse, or similar hospitality operation.
- Strong understanding of full lodge operations with limited staff.
- Experience working in remote or semi-remote environments (advantageous).
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing small teams.
Qualifications
- Hospitality or tourism qualifications (advantageous).
- Valid driver’s license for both candidates.
- Guiding qualification (preferred for one partner).

WORKING CONDITIONS
