Our client in the agricultural industry, situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch (between Kraaifontein and Klapmuts), currently has the above position available for a dedicated individual with strong administrative, financial, and written and verbal communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. The ideal candidate has a good sense of responsibility, can work independently, and has strong attention to detail.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and bookkeeping functions up to trial balance and will support the broader finance function. Responsibilities include: \*Debtors and creditors \*Cash books \*Journals \*Wages processing \*VAT submissions \*HR administration and reporting \*Financial reporting (management accounts support) \*Liaison with suppliers \*General administrative and bookkeeping duties associated with the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant financial qualification (Diploma or equivalent preferred);
• At least 4 years’ experience in a bookkeeping function within an SME environment;
• Solid computer proficiency (MS Office);
• Experience with accounting software (advantageous);
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
