The company utilises technologies mounted on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or Drones, in combination with exciting technologies, to provide geophysical and geological data services to the Mining and Mineral Exploration industries to expand mining exploration across Namibia and South Africa. Geophysicist Knysna – Western Cape Minimum requirements and experience: * Degree in Geophysics * 3–8 years’ relevant geophysical experience (depending on seniority). * Operational and processing familiarity with a variety of survey equipment: Magnetometers, Gradiometers, Gamma-ray sensors, EM sensors, transmitters, etc. * Sound knowledge theoretical and practical limitations * Willing to perform data acquisition involving time away from home, on an as needed basis. * Generate reports and validate/review deliverables prior to client submission * Inversion and IP experience will be beneficial Responsibilities: * Interpretation of results to assist in modelling/drill target identification * Further development of drone-borne geophysical survey processes and procedures * Assist with Research and Development of new technologies * Develop inversion techniques based on implementation of current and new technologies * Geophysical Surveys & Data Acquisition * Planning and Preparation of survey projects * Survey data processing including QA/QC of + Drone-borne magnetics + Drone-borne radiometric + Downhole magnetic susceptibility + Downhole radiometric + Downhole optical imagery + Downhole, surface and airborne EM * Generate reports and validate/review deliverables prior to client submission Apply via www.edrecruiters.co.za or submit your CV to cv@edrecruiters.co.za (4003) Only SA citizens will be considered
