Job Summary
Job Purpose:To oversee and manage daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. The Foreman will lead a team of artisans and machinists while maintaining optimal performance of CNC and conventional machining processes.
Minimum Requirements:
* Red Seal qualification in Fitting & Turning or Toolmaking
* Strong experience in CNC machining, including Fanuc CNC programming
* Proven supervisory or management experience in an engineering/workshop environment
* Solid understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and quality control
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate daily workshop activities and staff
* Plan and allocate jobs to ensure deadlines and production targets are met
* Program, set, and optimize CNC machines (Fanuc controls)
* Ensure quality standards and specifications are consistently achieved
* Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance requirements
* Enforce health and safety compliance within the workshop
* Train, mentor, and develop workshop staff and apprentices
* Manage tooling, materials, and workflow efficiency

* Comfortable interacting with engineers, management, and shopfloor staff
