Employer: RPO Recruitment RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading consulting engineering firm in Durban is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering full-cycle electrical engineering services across building services, bulk infrastructure, and renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and contribute to the full electrical design lifecycle in line with ECSA project stages * Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire detection, access control, CCTV, communication networks, UPS and generator systems * Perform design, documentation, specifications, tender preparation, and contract administration * Manage and deliver small to medium-sized projects independently, ensuring quality, cost, and time targets are met * Provide technical leadership, peer review, and mentorship within the electrical discipline * Engage in feasibility studies, concept development, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams * Support tendering processes including documentation, estimates, and method statements * Conduct site inspections, commissioning, and quality assurance during construction * Participate in client presentations, progress reporting, and stakeholder engagement * Contribute to renewable energy solutions including solar PV and BESS systems * Ensure compliance with SANS standards, QA procedures, and health & safety regulations Requirements: * BEng/BTech in Electrical Engineering * 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in electrical engineering (building services and related fields) * Eligible for or registered as Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng with ECSA (or within 1 year of appointment) * Strong experience in Building services electrical design; Bulk services infrastructure; Renewable energy systems * Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous) * Experience with DIALux/Relux and electrical design software * Exposure to solar PV design tools (e.g., Helioscope, similar platforms) advantageous * Strong MS Office and project planning software (MS Project beneficial) * Solid understanding of SANS 10142 and SANS 10400-XA Benefits: Salary:  Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity. * Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience. * Apply for this role today, contact Meghan du Plessis and Riana Hattingh at RPO Recruitment or on LinkedIn * You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: Engineers@rpo-recruit.za.com We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
