Employer: M3 Human Capital Management A well-established multi disciplinary practise, is seeking to appoint either an Architectural Technologist or a fully qualified Architect to join their team in Paarl. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys working on complex, multidisciplinary projects within the industrial, manufacturing, and food & beverage sectors. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality projects for leading clients. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, develop, and refine detailed architectural drawings, layouts, and technical documentation across various project stages (concept, design development, and construction). • Produce accurate working drawings, schedules, and specifications to support project execution. • Coordinate and integrate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery. • Review and interpret technical information, identifying and resolving design clashes and coordination issues. • Ensure all designs comply with SANS standards, local building regulations, statutory requirements, and client specifications. • Assist with the preparation and submission of building plans and supporting documentation to local authorities, and manage related approvals. • Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys to monitor progress, verify compliance, and resolve technical challenges on-site. • Engage with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to address queries and provide technical guidance during construction. • Support project managers in tracking deliverables, timelines, and documentation requirements. • Contribute to quality assurance processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of drawings and documentation. • Assist with as-built drawings, project close-out documentation, and handover requirements. • Maintain organised project records and ensure proper document control using relevant systems (e.g. ACC). Requirements: Applications are invited from candidates with either of the following qualifications: • Architectural Technologist - A 3-year accredited qualification OR • Architect - Professional Master’s Degree in Architecture Additional requirements: • SACAP registration (or eligibility) advantageous; • Minimum 2–5 years’ relevant experience; • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential); • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) advantageous; • Strong understanding of SANS regulations, construction methods, and detailing; • Experience in industrial or commercial projects beneficial.
