Job Title: IT Support & Systems AdministratorLocationRoute21 (Pretoria) with support to Silverton factories and Brand Gallery (Cape Town) Role OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on IT professional to manage and support our company’s day-to-day IT operations across multiple sites. The role involves maintaining approximately 100 laptops, supporting users, coordinating with external IT consultants, and ensuring systems run efficiently, securely, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities1. End-User Support & Hardware
* Provide daily IT support to ±140 staff across all locations
* Set up, configure, and maintain ±100 laptops
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
* Install updates, antivirus, and ensure devices are secure and compliant
2. Microsoft 365 Administration
* Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, licensing, and billing
* Set up and maintain user emails and permissions
* Support Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and SharePoint functionality
* Monitor usage and optimize licensing costs
3. Network, Firewall & Telephony
* Monitor and maintain firewall and network performance
* Ensure secure access and data protection
* Support and troubleshoot phone systems
* Liaise with external IT consultant on infrastructure and security
4. Systems & Software Coordination
* Oversee order control systems and liaise with consultant
* Support Sage Pastel and coordinate
* Ensure business-critical systems are functional and optimized
5. Printers & Office Equipment
* Manage printer setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
* Liaise with service provider
* Monitor usage and manage consumables
6. Data Backup & Security
* Ensure regular and reliable backups across all systems
* Monitor backup success and perform recovery tests
* Maintain cybersecurity best practices and user awareness
Minimum Requirements
* 3–5 years experience in IT support or systems administration
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
* Experience with networking, firewalls, and backups
* Familiarity with Pastel accounting systems advantageous
* Ability to troubleshoot independently and manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication and coordination skills
