Job Summary
Minimum Requirements:
* Grade 10 / Matric (preferred).
* Welding certification (MIG/CO₂ welding qualification).
* 2–5 years’ experience as a CO₂/MIG welder (preferably in manufacturing or engineering environment).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
* Strong welding and fabrication skills.
* Good attention to detail and quality control.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform CO₂ (MIG) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
* Prepare materials for welding (cutting, grinding, cleaning).
* Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment.
* Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.
* Repair defective welds and structures as required.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
* Work within production timelines and meet daily targets.
