A leading technology-driven organisation within the utilities and smart infrastructure sector is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Tender Engineer to manage and coordinate the full tender and bid process.This role plays a critical part in securing new business across municipal, utility, and private sector markets, supporting the growth of innovative electricity, water, and data management solutions.
Key Responsibilities Tender Management & Coordination
- Identify and evaluate suitable tender opportunities aligned to business objectives
- Coordinate the full tender process from opportunity identification to submission
- Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered within deadlines
Technical & Commercial Analysis
- Review and interpret technical specifications, commercial terms, and contractual requirements
- Ensure alignment between pricing, cost structures, and risk considerations
- Support the development of competitive and commercially sound proposals
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams across technical, commercial, and operational functions
- Engage with external stakeholders, consultants, and clients throughout the tender process
- Manage tender clarifications, queries, and negotiations
Contract Management & Compliance
- Support the management of awarded contracts in line with agreed terms
- Maintain accurate tender records, registers, and audit trails
- Ensure governance, risk management, and internal approval processes are adhered to
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in tenders, proposals, or contract management
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes
- Experience within utilities, energy, or engineering environments advantageous
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, commercial models, and contract risk management
- Strong technical and commercial writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Willingness to travel as required
