Job Summary
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the correct stock levels of components always within set parameters.
* Take full responsibility for the continuous Planning, Follow-Up, Expediting and Controlling of Components on order and in transit to the company until receipt in-Plant and assembled into finished products.
* Ensuring the continuous supply of JIT/JIS Components for 2-Shift Production- in the right quantity, and at the right time at the right place without incurring any excess cost.
* Taking full responsibility for expediting and follow-up activities of components.
* Co-ordination of engineering changes for run-out and run-in components.
* Control and minimization of (potential) obsolescence
* Liaison with local and overseas suppliers and service providers
* Experience with Imports and Exports
Job Requirements:
* Matric/ Grade 12
* A completed Diploma or Degree from a recognized Institution, e.g. University, in Supply Chain Management
* Minimum 3 years Material Planning experience in the Automotive Industry.
* Solid Computer Skills in SAP MM and MS Office.
* Good computer knowledge
* Strong analytical and forward planning skills and Excellent skills in Risk Assessment
* Be able to work well in a time constrained JIS/JIT environment
* Ability to make logic and sound decisions based on facts
