Automotive - Automotive Sales Durban FULL TIME Job Summary Job Responsibilities: Main purpose: Ensure satisfactory utilization of labour and material resources to support customer requirements. Elimination of waste: * Record and manage total units produced to meet targets. * Accurately measure, record, and manage Change Over time/Lost. * Minimise, measure, and record Unplanned Overtime to meet targets. * Monitor & control the usage of PPE & Consumables. * Effective management & deployment of resources. * Evaluate rejects root cause and create plans for discussion with management to reduce or eliminate losses within your control and act accordingly. Continuous Improvement: * Improve production within areas of control. 5S and Safety/Environmental: * Manage, improve & promote 5S in the plant according to the 5S Audit Sheet. * Ensure PPE Issued and Correct Usage and follow SHEMS Procedures. * Ensure incident reports are filled in timeously. Manage, improve & meet safety targets within the working area. * Perform machine/equipment safety checks. Quality: * Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications. * Manage & reduce the outflow of defective components. Delivery: * Compile production schedule. * Ensure stock is available for production. Job Requirements: * National Senior Certificate (Critical) * Supply Chain or A Relevant qualification (Advantageous) * 1 to 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. * Intermediate computer skills Technical skills and specialist knowledge: * Intermediate computer skills * Forklift license (adv) * Supervisory Experience * ±6 Months Experience with ME deployment (Advantageous) * Quality Experience Staff Solutions Recruiter
