Logistics - Contractor Zululand FULL TIME Job Summary Set within a vast Big Five wilderness in the heart of Zululand, this reserve is a pioneering conservation and rewilding project that combines luxury safari experiences with meaningful community partnerships and ecological restoration. They are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable BACKUP TRAILS GUIDE who can deliver safe, immersive bush experiences while sharing a genuine enthusiasm for wildlife, conservation, and the natural environment with guests. Candidate Responsibilities: * Facilitate guided bush walks and game drives, ensuring guest safety while delivering informative and engaging wildlife experiences * Support the Lead Trails Guide during walking safaris * Interpret the natural environment for guests, sharing knowledge of wildlife behaviour, ecology, tracking, and conservation * Maintain safari equipment to ensure they remain in excellent working condition and comply with safety standards * Assist with duties around the lodge and reserve as needed Core Criteria: * Minimum FGASA NQF2 qualification * Backup/Apprentice Trails qualification, with the intention of attaining Lead Trails * Rifle competency * Valid First Aid certification * Previous guiding experience in a Big Five reserve environment * Strong knowledge of bushveld ecology, wildlife behaviour, and tracking * Excellent guest interaction and interpretation skills This is a live-in position Wild Dreams Hospitality Recruiter
