A well-established, national company has a vacancy for a Sales Representative with experience in the concrete/cement products to join their team in the Winelands Region.
*The main purpose of this role is to drive sales growth of ready-mix concrete products within the Winelands region. The position focuses on developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, developers, and construction companies, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction from quotation through to delivery.*
Requirements:
* Matric (Grade 12); relevant sales or construction qualification is advantageous
* Minimum 3–5 years’ sales experience, preferably in ready-mix concrete, construction materials, or related industry
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Winelands region
* Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
* Good understanding of the construction and concrete industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Basic technical knowledge of concrete products is advantageous
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Sales & Business Development
+ Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction, civil, and building sectors
+ Promote and sell ready-mix concrete products to contractors, developers, and project managers
+ Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
+ Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
* Client Relationship Management
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
+ Conduct regular site visits and client meetings across the Winelands region
+ Provide technical guidance on product selection where required
+ Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
* Quoting & Pricing
+ Prepare accurate and competitive quotations in line with company pricing policies
+ Follow up on quotes and negotiate terms to close deals
+ Work closely with internal teams to ensure pricing aligns with production and logistics costs
* Project Coordination
+ Liaise with batching plants, dispatch, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery
+ Monitor project progress and ensure supply meets client expectations
+ Address and resolve any delivery or quality concerns promptly
* Administration & Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline in CRM systems
+ Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts
+ Track project progress and update management on key accounts
