We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cash Book & Accounts Administrator to manage the full cash book function for both Share Block and Homeowners Association accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate cash handling, banking, reconciliation, invoicing, and general accounting support, ensuring compliance with company policies and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Full cash book control for Share Block and Homeowners Association accounts
* Daily cash-ups from reception, verifying credit card settlements, and reconciling receptionist control accounts
* Capture and allocation of receipts from bank statements to customer accounts
* Weekly cash-ups for reception and Pro Shop revenue
* Coordinate banking of cash with C I T contractor
* Invoicing Pro Shop revenue after cash-ups
* Assist with capturing payments when required
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
* Control and management of Petty Cash and additional cash floats
* Prepare and manage outsourced invoices issued monthly
* Manage intercompany revenue transfers and consolidation to loan accounts
* Compile sundry account summaries on a monthly basis
* Capture monthly journals for Financial Controller (FC)
* Submit and control insurance claims and payouts, recovering excesses
* Submit capex documentation and distribute approved records
* Assist FC with month-end reporting packs, balancing, and preparation
* Provide support to the accounts department as required
Minimum Requirements
* Education:
+ Minimum Grade 12 (Matric)
+ Post-matric qualification in Accounting or Accounting Software (e.g., N6)
* Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or cash book role
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cash handling, and VAT
* Technical Skills:
+ Computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
+ Experience with accounting software (compulsory)
+ Knowledge of QSA systems (advantageous)
