FMCG - FMCG Wholesale Ladysmith FULL TIME R35 000,00 - R45 000,00 (PER MONTH) Market Related On-site Job Summary Opportunities for experienced DIESEL MECHANICS are required for permanent employment based in Ladysmith. • Performing preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, diesel powered fridge units and generators by conducting inspections to identify damages or worn components • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles • Checking vehicle lighting, charging and starting systems • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance and fuel consumption • Running diagnostic tests on all vehicle systems, steering system, suspension system (pneumatic and mechanical) braking system (Pneumatic, hydro-pneumatic and hydraulic brakes) • Maintaining a parts inventory • Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop (housekeeping) • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist • Attending to breakdowns • Completed Trade Test (mer SETA/Olifantsfontein/QCTO) • 5 (+) years relevant experience in the trade • N6 (RPL may be considered) • Valid driver’s license – Code 14 with PDP • Contactable references • Ability to speak in English and Zulu will an advantage • Able to work shifts and weekends • Submit CV (Word / PDF, Ref # (TRG 2237).
