Manufacturing - Other Manufacturing Roodepoort FULL TIME R20 000,00 - R30 000,00 (PER MONTH) On-site Job Summary Mechanical Draughtsman (Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication) Location - Roodepoort Start: ASAP (Urgent) A well-established steel manufacturing company in Roodepoort is urgently seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman. This role reports directly to the Operations Director and requires hands-on experience in steel fabrication and manufacturing environments. Minimum Requirements • Grade 12 (Matric) • Drafting qualification • 3–5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman • Proven experience in a manufacturing / steel fabrication environment • Strong experience in: o Laser cutting o Sheet metal works • Proficient in: o AutoCAD o Inventor • South African citizen • Familiarity with ISO standards (advantageous) Key Responsibilities • Prepare 2D & 3D technical drawings for steel fabrication • Develop detailed drawings for laser cutting, bending, welding & assembly • Prepare manufacturing data packs (BOMs, QC docs, material take-offs) • Process and manage Design Change Requests • Maintain strict revision and drawing control • Coordinate with production and workshop teams • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and ISO procedures Working Hours • Monday–Thursday: 07:30–16:30 • Friday: 07:30–15:00 Employment Details • Permanent position • If unemployed: 3-month Fixed-Term Contract trial option • Pension fund included
