Enartis, a global company operating in the wine industry, has a position available for an individual with strong accounting-, planning- and organisational skills to join their team based in Paarl, Western Cape.
This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, as the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to accounting, daily office operations, and customer service.
Responsibilities will include: \*Accounting & Bookkeeping: \*Accounting up to trial balance \*Monthly income statement and balance sheet preparation \*Bank reconciliations \*Assisting the external Accountant with month-end journals, annual financial statements, financial records and reports \*Pastel data capturing (cash books, journals, bank recons, BI, management packs, etc.) \*Debtors \*Creditors \*Managing cashflow & petty cash management \Tax & Compliance: \*Ensuring compliance with SARS requirements \*Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other taxes via eFiling \*Payroll: Payment of salaries \*PAYE, UIF (including ETI) submissions \*EMP501 \Stock management: Monthly stock takes and stock journals \*Ordering stock locally and internationally \*Order processing \*Importing of goods and related logistics \*Reception & Office Administration: \*Assisting the General Manager with ad hoc queries \*Handling the reception area (occasional walk-ins, answering the telephone) \*Supervising maintenance of office areas, equipment, and facilities \*Interacting with IT, phone and building personnel as required \*all other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Matric required, a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance will be advantageous;
• Approximately 3 years’ experience in an accounting or financial role in the wine or similar industry, preferably including experience working with imports and freight forwarders;
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office & Pastel);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Own reliable transport.
