Aftersales & Workshop Manager - Hoek's Toyota Swellendam
Hoek’s Toyota is seeking a dynamic and experienced Aftersales & Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Service Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop and part sales performance, leading a team of motor technicians and service staff, ensuring high-quality services and repairs, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with Toyota standards
Workshop Operations
- Coordinate and monitor daily workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct daily operational meetings and provide updates on client matters, warranty claims, stock levels, and departmental performance.
- Ensure workshop booking systems and processes are followed to maintain effective workflow.
- Review and sign off job cards to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Operational Performance
- Drive performance to achieve Service Centre targets, including parts and accessory sales.
- Ensure service booking systems are followed to maintain efficient workshop workflow.
- Lead daily team meetings, resolve challenges, and support staff to achieve departmental objectives.
- Approve major repair quotations and ensure accurate cost assessments.
- Monitor stock levels, parts usage, and outstanding accounts.
Team Leadership
- Manage and support Motor Technicians and Service Advisors.
- Assign and prioritize daily tasks to ensure productivity and service targets are achieved.
- Provide performance feedback, training support, and manage staff attendance, leave, and overtime.
Warranty administration
- Manage and submit warranty claims accurately and on time.
- Ensure correct documentation and compliance with Toyota warranty standards.
- Follow up on pending claims and address errors to prevent rejections.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Address customer enquiries, technical queries, and resolve complaints effectively.
- Ensure clear communication between clients and the workshop team.
Administration
- Ensure reports for Hoek’s Toyota and Head Office are submitted on time.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with dealership procedures.
