The Area Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all stores meet sales targets, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, and adhere to company policies and procedures. The role also includes recruiting, training, and managing Branch Managers and sales staff to ensure a high level of performance and teamwork.
Ensure profitability in the area of responsibility through effective daily planning, leading, controlling, and organizing of all resources, while driving superior customer service and creating a shopping environment that drives sales across all branches.
Key Duties
* Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
* Monitor store performance and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans
* Conduct regular branch visits and complete checklists to ensure compliance with company standards
* Provide ongoing support, guidance, and leadership to Branch Managers
* Recruit, train, and develop Branch Managers and sales staff to build a high-performing team
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
* Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels to identify trends and implement improvements
* Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and other departments to align business strategies
* Manage inventory effectively and ensure merchandise is displayed in an appealing and organised manner
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety, security, and operational standards
* Drive effective teamwork and self-management
Minimum Requirements
* Grade 12
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (advantageous)
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail management
* At least 2 years’ experience in furniture retail
* Proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets
* Valid driver’s license
