We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks such as overseeing debtors and creditors, preparing financial reports, and performing basic bookkeeping duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Support the Group Accountants in day-to-day finance operations
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties, such as maintaining general ledger accounts
- Assist with audits and financial compliance tasks
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
