Provincial Group, a well-established warehousing and logistics operation in Paarl, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to take full responsibility for inventory control, client service delivery, and warehouse team supervision within a dedicated section.
KPA’s include (but are not limited to): \*Clients: Act as primary point of contact for allocated clients; Manage the full order process from receipt to dispatch; Confirm bookings and ensure accurate delivery scheduling; Provide regular stock reports and operational updates; Resolve client queries and service issues efficiently. \*Stock: Maintain accurate stock records and system integrity; Monitor all stock movements (receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, returns); Conduct cycle counts and support full stock takes; Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions; Monitor stock ageing, damages, and obsolete stock; Ensure adherence to stock control procedures and best practices. \*Staff: Supervise and coordinate a team of approximately 9–11 warehouse staff; Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback; Drive productivity and ensure operational targets are met; Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards. \*Administration & Reporting: Ensure accurate data capturing and stock movement reporting; Oversee documentation and invoicing processes; Monitor workflow efficiency and implement improvements; Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant tertiatry qualification not required, but will be beneficial;
• At least 8-10 years’ proven experience in inventory or warehouse management;
• Strong understanding of stock control processes and systems;
• Ability to manage staff and drive team performance;
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills;
• Strong communication and client relationship management ability.
