Ideally looking for an engineer with 1-2 years of working experience in design and contractor management of gas plants or biogas plants and a sincere interest in this field. Electrical or Mechatronic Design Engineer Somerset West Minimum requirements and qualifications: * BEng degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering * Minimum 0-2 years of working experience. * Excellent communication skills * Must be willing to travel overseas. * Must have a good understanding of Industrial Automation (MCC, VSD's, PLCs, Switchgear, and Integrated Solutions). Responsibilities: * Drafting Key Single Line and electrical diagrams. * Drafting Tender Specification documents for electrical cabling and power distribution * Managing Subcontractors during site installations * In charge of managing the design of instrumentation and control systems. * In charge of managing the design of power distribution and electrical infrastructure * An understanding of electrical infrastructure and components (including transformers, generators, low-voltage-distribution boards etc.) * An understanding of MCC panel design, and associated components for control of motors on site (Variable speed drives, motor control circuits). * An understanding of cable sizing, cable selection, and good practice regarding cable installation. * Review of panel designs and electrical drawings (supplied by contractors). * Understanding of ATEX zones and the implications on the selection of instruments and motors.
