Details designs from first principles, as well as improvements on existing Product ranges   Qualification and Key Skills Required: * B Eng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering * Minimum of 7 years of design experience * Ability to plan and execute project plans * Ability to guide and mentor other engineers * Innovative and self-driven * Hands-on approach to problem solving * Readily able to adjust to changing priorities * Objective-oriented, setting goals and meeting deadlines Responsibilities * 3D CAD models, designs, and presentations to clients. * Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawings * Conduct concept and design reviews * Manage and support the day-to-day design activities * Provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements. * Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing. * Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes. * Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes.
