If you are not a Steel Slitter, please skip the ad!!! Steel Slitter – Key Responsibilities 1.Operate and monitor steel slitting machines to cut coils into specified widths. 2. Set up and adjust slitting knives, spacers, and guides according to job specifications. 3. Ensure accurate measurements and quality cuts in line with production requirements. 4. Inspect steel coils for defects, thickness, and material quality before processing. 5. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during operation. 6. Maintain production efficiency while minimizing material waste. 7. Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal operation. 8. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. 9. Record production data, coil numbers, and job details accurately. 10. Work closely with the production team and supervisors to meet deadlines. 11. Load and unload steel coils using overhead cranes or forklifts (if certified). 12. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Preferred Skills / Experience 1. Experience operating steel slitting or metal processing machinery. 2. Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy. 3. Ability to read technical drawings or job cards. 4. Knowledge of coil handling and steel processing. 5. Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
