The Opportunity
Hydro Power Systems is seeking two experienced Long Hole Rig Operators to support operations across Zimbabwe, Rustenburg, and Carltonville. This role is suited to skilled underground professionals with a strong focus on precision drilling, safety compliance, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate long hole drilling rigs safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Ensure drilling accuracy according to mine plans and specifications
• Identify and report mechanical or operational faults
• Adhere strictly to mine health and safety standards
• Maintain productivity targets and quality drilling output
• Complete operational logs and reports as require
Minimum Requirements
• Proven experience as a Long Hole Rig Operator in an underground mining environment
• Strong understanding of long hole drilling methods and best practices
• Sound knowledge of underground safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
• Medically fit for underground work
• Valid certificates, permits, or competency records (advantageous)
