PRIMARY PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Operations Manager Botswana will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the operations of our lodges and camps.
The Operations Manager Botswana is responsible for managing all aspects of the Camp and lodge operations, including staff management, guest services, budgeting, and marketing. The Operations Manager Botswana will work closely with the corporate office to ensure that all lodges are operating efficiently and effectively within Wilderness whilst driving the company processes, systems and standards.

Detailed Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of all Camp operations
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve the overall performance of all Camp facilities
* Train, motivate, and lead a diverse team to deliver exceptional service and uphold brand standards
* Monitor and assess Camp operations to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
* Work closely with the Asset Manager, Botswana region to formulate and implement preventative maintenance plans for all assets.
* Oversee recruitment, training, and development of higher Camp management staff
* Determine and implement operational policies and procedures
* Monitor and analyse Camp performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure profitability
* Work closely with the marketing department to promote Camp facilities and drive revenue growth
* Manage budgets and expenses for all Camp operations, ensuring financial targets are met
* Ensure that all Camps comply with legal and safety regulations
* Maintain guest satisfaction by responding to feedback and resolving any issues promptly
* Collaborate with the corporate office to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
* Work closely with and maintain open communication with relevant departments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualification:
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
* Proven experience in the high-end, luxury Safari Hospitality market. Minimum of 15 years of experience in hospitality management, with a proven track record of success
* Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of employees and stakeholders
* Flexibility to travel to various lodge locations as needed

* Know how to manage and work in a team.
* Strong verbal skills, both written and spoken.
* Keen eye for detail.
