This is with a long-standing, well established enterprise.  The main FMCG related entity was founded in the 40's and is a one-of-a-kind operation in SA. Under the same roof they also have a retail entity, as well as property tenants. Whilst, the role will possibly be more applicable to the retail and property entities, there needs to be flexibility to work across all three companies if necessary. Preferred is an Accounting qualification, Pastel Partner & Excel proficiency, strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and reconcilations. Working hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Fridays.  Monthly gross CTC remuneration is in the region of R30 000.00 with some room for negotiability; staff members take care of their own medical aid; pension fund comes into effect after completion of the probation period; annual bonus, not guaranteed and paid in November. Responsibilities: • Prepare, capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timely • Reconcile creditors accounts • Reconcile debtors accounts • Perform daily bank reconciliations • Perform daily cash-up procedures • Reconciliation inter-company accounts transactions • Preparation and managing of fixed asset register • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams regarding payment queries and reconciliations • Preparing monthly balance sheet recons • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes • Maintain accurate supporting documentation for audits and compliance purposes • Support external auditors with requested schedules and documentation
