Logistics - Other Logistics Durban FULL TIME Job Summary Our client in the Logistics Industry is seeking a Senior Consultant: Operational Excellence to join their team in KZN. Purpose of the role: The Senior Consultant: OE is responsible for enabling and facilitating the adoption of the operational excellence culture within the KZN Operations through change management, training and couching of the business units and/or contracts on continuous improvement tools. Please send an updated CV, Portfolio and most recent payslip to cathy@aaaa.co.za Responsibilities: * Develop and implement a Lean deployment plan which will provide the required return on investment through waste elimination, costs reduction and improved operational efficiencies * Manage the implementation of Operational Excellence program in all KZN operations * Ensure alignment between Operational Excellence initiatives with the BU/accounts strategies * Develop business units' internal problem solving capacity through training and coaching of problem solving methodologies, Kaizens and Kaizens events * Ensure that Lean foundational practices and entrenched in all areas of responsibilities * Actively participate in the development of Lean Practitioners within own area of responsibility * Act as a Change Agent, facilitate the adoption of the operational excellence culture, identify and remove barriers to success. * Assess the progress on the OE program and provide feedback to the leadership of the area of responsibility. * Assist colleagues in the area of responsibility with measuring, tracking and reporting of the financial benefits from improvement projects. * Investigate and identify opportunities for improvement * As an OE Champion, expand the use of operational excellence methodologies and structured problem solving approach in the business Requirements: The minimum levels of work, experience and qualifications required for this role are: 1. Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management 2. 2 years experience in operations preferably in a Supply Chain environment 3. 3 years experience in implementing OE programs 4. Lean Six Sigma certification 5. Change management skills 6. Project management skills 7.
